New Yale fire safes exclusive to locksmiths in Wilmslow

Yale firesafe

New Yale fire safe range

Yale has launched a new range of electronic Document Fire Safes; the first in a line of new products introduced exclusively for  Master Locksmiths.

The safes can protect contents from the effects of fire for up to 60 minutes in line with GB1970 standards and feature an electronic faceplate with a high security lock that has more than one billion code combinations.

The Fire Safes’ advanced security features include a programmable one-time user code for visitors or colleagues and a privacy number input option that allows the real code to be followed or preceded by random numbers, if users suspect they are being watched.

There is also a silent code input option that allows the code to be entered without noise or light, plus the safes have a one to 48 hour lockdown period, during which time the safe cannot be activated.

For added security, the new Fire Safes also come with a time lock if the wrong code is entered, which can be set from three to nine minutes, to prevent further attempts at gaining access.

Suitable for use in the home or office, the safes are cash rated to a value of £2000 and insured to hold up to £20,000 worth of valuables. Easy to use, they have an illuminated keypad and are locked/unlocked using a re-settable 3-12 digit user code.

Sharn Samra, Head of Business Development for Yale UK, said: “The Document Fire Safes are the first in a line of new professional products that we’ll be launching in 2010, exclusively for locksmiths.

“For maximum security, the safes should be professionally installed, plus they have a number of specialist features that you wouldn’t find on regular safes, available from more mainstream outlets. This makes the Fire Safes an ideal product for locksmiths that will create real differentiation and business opportunities.”

The safes are offered in a choice of three sizes – medium, large and extra large – and are supplied in a satin black and brushed aluminium finish. The box has galvanized steel walls and fire resistant insulation, while the faceplate has a die-cast zinc body and the knob is manufactured from machined aluminium.

Fixing bolts are also supplied so the safe can be mounted to the floor or wall for added security.

All fire safes from Yale come with a low battery alarm and reset button, as well as an emergency battery override with master code, which can be ordered as an optional extra.
